Winter At The Beach
As the land changes around Buzzard’s Bay so do we. When Barbie Burr found herself at a crossroads in her life she chose her family summer cottage to regroup. It is not surprising Barbie retreated to the shore for personal reflection. What is surprising is that she did it in February. Her cottage is small and part of the last seasonal community on Buzzard’s Bay. It is remote and cold. Her story in poems will touch you with its raw connection to the earth and sea. Surrounded by nature and harsh weather she finds something in the marsh that is unnatural and unexpected that helps her put it all together.
